Track 1 | Footprint | Bruce Stephen Foster
Looking into the dawn with it’s promise and wonder
I will try to remember all the visions of my youth
Some have drifted and gone, some have come to fruition
Paradise or perdition, but they always gave me truth
And at the end of the day, while the world lies in slumber
I’ll give thanks and remember all the people through the years
that have guided my way, some just may have been angels
that for better touched my life and then never reappeared
Deep inside remains a place that is home
Though my travels may be far
I will carry with me warmest memories
Of dear friends and gentle hearts
Of dear friends and gentle hearts
Looking back on the past I will try to remember
Try to remember all the meaning in my life
And what seemed like mistakes that turned out to be blessings
Some were life’s hard earned lessons
But it taught me wrong from right
Maybe we’re just here to see each other through
That’s our footprint before we depart
And I owe my life to those tried and true
The dear friends and gentle hearts
The dear friends and gentle hearts
